The Cato Institute Presents: Social Security and the American Voter

August 31, 1999

What do American voters think about the options for Social Security reform? Do they support privatization of the federal retirement program? How will they respond to a candidate's position on the issue?

The Cato Institute will release the results of a new poll by Zogby International, one of America's leading polling companies, and discuss their significance.

With John Zogby, President, Zogby International, and with comments by Congressman Mark Sanford (R-S.C.).

September 9, 1999, 1:30 PM, Rayburn House Office Building, Room B-318.

"The largely Cato Institute-staffed presidential commission owes its existence to the Cato Institute itself. For the last quarter of a century, the Washington, D.C.-based libertarian think tank has been campaigning for the privatization of Social Security."
