Global Pension Crisis II Set for January

In December 1997, the Cato Institute and The Economist magazine cosponsored
Solving the Global Pension Crisis, an international conference held in
London that focused attention on the need for countries around to globe to address
the need for pension reform.
Following the success of the first conference, on January 27-28,
2000, Cato and The Economist will cosponsor Solving the Global Pension
Crisis II: The Privatization Revolution, to be held in New York.
The conference participants will evaluate the experiences of
countries that have privatized government pension plans, examine more recent
moves toward privatization, and look at issues for the future both in the United
States and abroad.
