Cato Begins Pro-Privatization Ad Campaign
Tuesday, September 5, 2000
The first week of September marks the beginning of a month-long radio ad campaign
promoting Social Security privatization and Cato's Social Security website,
www.socialsecurity.org. The one-minute ad, which will run 150 times on eight
radio stations in New York and Philadelphia, lists the benefits of Social Security
reform based on personal retirement accounts and tells listeners of socialsecurity.org.
The New York stations are: WXRK, WQHT, WINS, and WRKS. In Philadelphia, the
stations are WYSP, WUSL and WPHI. It is hoped that the campaign can be continued
and expanded to stations in other parts of the country.
