Text of the ads follow:

Script of "Looming Crisis" (TV)

ANNOUNCER [v/o]: For two decades, some of America's best minds have been working on a solution to the looming Social Security crisis. And after years of debate, bipartisan principles have been agreed upon that will save the system. We should modernize Social Security now. We should protect the current benefits of retirees. We should not raise taxes. And we should allow younger workers the option to invest a small portion of their Social Security money in accounts they own.

Script of "Security" (TV)

ANNOUNCER [v/o]: Family. Love. Security. It's the glue that holds us together. And Social Security is the promise our government makes to ensure dignity for older Americans.

There is a way to keep the Social Security contract sacred. Allow younger workers the voluntary option to invest a small portion of their Social Security in accounts they own. It means no cut in benefits for current retirees and no increase in taxes. It's an idea that keeps the Social Security contract with dignity.

"The largely Cato Institute-staffed presidential commission owes its existence to the Cato Institute itself. For the last quarter of a century, the Washington, D.C.-based libertarian think tank has been campaigning for the privatization of Social Security."
