Tanner to Bring Privatization Message to Inner City

October 14, 1999

On Wednesday, October 20 Michael Tanner, Director of Cato's Project on Social Security Privatization, will bring the privatization message to the citizens of South Central Los Angeles. Tanner will be the featured policy expert at a townhall meeting hosted by Star Parker of CURE (Coalition on Urban Renewal and Education), with special guest former vice presidential candidate Jack Kemp.

Tanner, Parker and Kemp will also speak the same day in Orange County, showing how the benefits of Social Security privatization cross boundaries of race, income, politics and geography. Cato has published several studies showing the benefits of Social Security privatization for lower income workers.
