José Piñera

As Minister of Labor and Social Security in 1980, Dr. Piñera was the architect of Chile's successful social security reform. As founder and president of the International Center for Pension Reform (www.pensionreform.org), Dr. Piñera promotes the Chilean model of personal retirement accounts around the world. He has published numerous articles and is the author of six books. His personal website can be found at www.josepinera.com. Jose Piñera holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University (1974).

William G. Shipman is Chairman of CarriageOaks Partners, LLC. He has spent more than twenty years in institutional financial research and consulting. Shipman was general partner of H. C. Wainwright & Company. He also established BRS Capital Management Inc. and served as its president and managing director. Shipman’s numerous studies on investment and business strategy have been published in the Financial Analysts Journal, Pensions & Investments, the Congressional Record, and the Journal of Investing. He has testified before the Joint Economic Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee. Shipman is a graduate of Syracuse University.
