I oppose allowing workers to save of a portion of their Social Security payroll taxes in a personal retirement account. I don't think the numbers in the Bush plan work. I believe it is a mistake to weaken a fund that is already projected to run out of money. I believe it accepts too much risk for such an important savings program. I believe there are better ways to encourage individual savings.
