Duane Kratzer (R)I am very much in favor of allowing our younger working citizens the right to put some of their Social Security taxes into private vehicles. Currently, as a retiree, you can collect social security as long as you remain alive. When you die, all the money that you may have paid into the program will revert to the Social Security system to used to pay another recipient. If allowed to privately invest some of these taxes, a young wage earner could accumulate 100s of 1000s of dollars over a 40-50 year work life and when he dies, all the money goes to his loved ones, not back to the government. |
