The solvency of our Social Security system must be assured and we must guarantee the benefits we promised. Obviously, our current system is not working. We must allow changes such as those earning the money investing it themselves in privately managed accounts. We must eliminate the earning test penalty against working seniors and our Social Security Trust surplus must be protected from raids by Congress. We must also consider changes in the tax code to protect those near the poverty level.
